Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in the legal setting. Prof. Goodman has published extensively, received many grants and been recognized with several international and national prizes. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to child victimized by the justice system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). She was a founder member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
